Reflecting on mosaics in 2025

Welcome to my mosaic world!

As March unfurls, I feel a spring in my step!
Seeing the sun and enjoying more daylight hours has definitely lifted my spirits. Who can't feel joy when catching the sight of daffodils bobbing in the breeze while birds sing their hearts out in anticipation of summer.
In all honestly, 2026 did not get off to a good start for me, but things are shifting as I shake off my winter blues and I'm thrilled to have a line up of exciting mosaic commissions to focus on in 2026 - so watch this space!
As I focus on growing my mosaic practice at London Mosaic Studios, planning ahead has required some reflection on what I achieved and learnt last year. 2025 was a year full of creative fulfilment, from designing and delivering a public mosaic artwork, to hosting a variety of London mosaic workshops, sending 2 bespoke mosaic commissions off to France, and finding joy in smaller projects, from pet portraits and individualised mosaic door numbers.
It was also a year of goals, and I was over the moon to achieve them! My dream of having my mosaics spotlighted in the press became a reality when I was featured as "The one to watch" in Mosaic and Glass Magazine last June . It was such an honour and surprise to have been asked. Later in the year I got another chance, having a public mosaic artwork featured in a few local London papers ... but that's a juicy little hook for another post!
Until then, let's fill this town with mosaics!
Lots of luv xx
