Service Description

I am pleased to announce my next workshop will be hosted at The Penge Art Club on Sunday 20 July from 1pm to 6pm. The workshop will take place upstairs at the Southey Taproom in Penge and you will be able to purchase refreshments from the taproom during the course of the workshop. The workshop is priced at the reduced rate of £45. ** All bookings need to be made via the Penge Art Club website using the link below: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/pengeartclub/1720978 This will be a fun, creative workshop for people wanting an introduction to mosaics. Come along with friends and enjoy learning in a relaxed environment. Ideal for the complete beginner. During this 5 hour workshop you will be making a small 14 x 14 cm mosaic using the direct method. We'll be exploring the themes of lucky charms and popular tattoo designs. Templates will be provided but you can bring your own inspiration and ideas to play with. Corin will guide you through simplifying your design for mosaic, selecting tiles and being playful with colour. You will learn how to cut and shape your tesserae and the final hour of the session will be dedicated to teaching mosaic grouting so you can take a completed mosaic artwork home with you. What is provided: All tools and safety goggles Pencils and paper to work through your design at the beginning of the session Board for your work Colourful selection of tiles Mosaic templates for your design Glue and grout **Please note: Suitable for ages 16 and above only. If bringing your own design the simpler the better to ensure you can complete your mosaic in the allotted time.
